mastering my fate, captaining my soul, music reccs, supporting striking workers, & more
"Invictus" by William Ernest Henley
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

support striking writers & actors
the disturbed universe stands with all unions in the never-ending, universal fight for fairness. the ongoing writers and actors strike has already had documented ripple effects and has put each one of us at risk of losing something we depend on every moment of the day: content. performers, artists, and crew deserve to be fairly compensated for what they provide to millions.
thank you to my friend (and SAG member) Grayce for helping me with the following list of resources for striking members and non-members just looking to support. subscribe to Grayce’s newsletter What did I learn this week? & check out her monthly work for byline.
